How hard up is Jay Nixon for good news on Missouri jobs?
He recently attended (yet another) groundbreaking ceremony, this time for a John Deere facility in Strafford, MO.
For a project that will create a grand total of 55 jobs.
Over 5 years.
Yes, the Governor showcased his unmatched economic prowess by attending a groundbreaking for a project that will create 11 jobs a year.
Eleven.
Thousands of jobs are what Missourians needs. Tens of thousands of jobs. And now.
Eleven jobs a year is infinitesimal in comparison to the actual needs of our state. And yet there Jay Nixon stands, claiming credit for every single job he can squeeze in front of a camera for.
Jay Nixon’s incessant addiction to limelight in his ongoing attempt to fake Missouri’s economic situation into productivity is not just sad and petty; it’s distracting from the real work he needs to do to bring Missouri back to a level of prosperity.
Or did he forget that he’s the Governor?
