On Thanksgiving, most Americans gather around the dinner table, share with their friends, family, and God what they’re most thankful for, and then settle in for the evening to enjoy the company of loved ones.
Then there’s the few Americans who head out to the bars, get smashed, get into a bar brawl, and get arrested.
Susan Montee’s kids are in the latter crowd.
Police arrested Susan Montee's two sons and daughter following a fight outside a downtown St. Joseph bar.
Montee, former Missouri state auditor and former chair of the Missouri Democratic Party, is running for lieutenant governor.
Police arrested seven people including Amanda Montee, 25, Andrew Montee, 23, and Austin Montee, 22, outside a bar at 5th and Felix on November 25 around 1:15 a.m.
Officers were called in reference to a street fight involving around 30 people. When they arrived, police say they witnessed fighting and yelling in the street.
Police say they arrested Amanda Montee when she refused to obey an order for everyone to leave the scene. Police say Andrew and Austin Montee interfered with their sister's arrest.
And that’s when the pepper spray came out.
They now face charges ranging from disorderly conduct to resisting arrest.
But here’s the kicker:
Andrew Montee is listed as the contact in a recent news release about Susan Montee's campaign for lieutenant governor.
Nice. And…
He lists the Missouri Democratic Party as his employer on his personal Facebook page.
But I’m sure he had nothing to do with it. You can plainly see from his booking photo that Andrew isn’t the type to participate in something like this…
Well, maybe…
Dear God; if these kids are that ugly, what the heck does her husband look like? Ugh
