Chris Koster, once again finding himself too busy to fight for the repeal of Obamacare, filed a suit against Jonas Hughes to collect $19,000 in Missouri Ethics Commission fines.
Hughes was fined for things like treating his campaign committee like a personal bank account, and made the situation worse by racking up a lot of penalties for not paying. Hughes - who is now famed as a paragon of personal responsibility - says he doesn't want to resign, with the unfortunate side effect of leaving all of his constituents unrepresented in the House.
Talboy's recent comments to the Post Dispatch make it sounds like Hughes isn't going to get a bailout from the party. Not that he deserves one.
Hughes needs to go ahead and make the right decision.
