Given the best opportunity Dems have of taking a Republican State Senate seat, Martin Rucker seems to be doing his best to mess it up.
He didn't capitalize on the Republican primary - sacrificing his big early fundraising lead, he's being outworked, he hasn't been getting any earned media, and we're not hearing anything good about his paid voter contact or ground game.
Most campaigns have their good and bad spots. With Rucker, it just looks like bad spots. We'd be really hard pressed to say he did anything well, and it’ll be interesting to see the results tomorrow night. He won’t have anyone to blame but himself.
