Recently we got an e-mail that proves Tommy Sowers isn’t being honest with his campaign donors. Bragging that “everyone is talking about this campaign”, he embarked upon a disingenuous sales pitch to get people to contribute to his campaign:
The first quote is from Show Me Progress, which is (as we all know) a Democrat cheerleader blog that has done interviews with Sowers. But even it concluded that it was on the fence about Sowers’ campaign: “I don't know whether Emerson ought to be worried”. Ironically this is the most tame misrepresentation of his campaign’s prospect for victory.
The second quote is from the Cook Political Report, and it actually reads “Sowers is probably one of the best candidates in the country -- with an astronomically small chance of winning a seat in Congress in 2010." Tommy Sowers literally cut off David Wasserman mid-sentence to skew a negative comment into a positive one. The Sowers campaign has had a field day with this particular mis-quotation, employing it everywhere they get a chance. We doubt Wasserman appreciates this very much.
The final quote is a prime example of selective quotations. We thumbed through the same article and found “Sowers still faces an uphill battle”, “a poll released by the campaign in April that showed [Emerson] leading Sowers 71 percent to 18 percent”, “Sowers has done his fair share of mudslinging”, “it's a long-shot situation”, and “the likelihood Sowers will unseat Emerson is low”. Of course, Tommy Sowers doesn’t want to educate his donors about all of that...
Sowers' fundraising has a particular gracefulness to it.
Tommy Sowers has been caught doing this before. At this point we can no longer conclude that it was an honest mistake – he’s actively deceiving his campaign donors.
Its no different than his claiming that the Holcim plant ($800 million project) which Jo Ann fought for for years is stimulus funded when it is not (although located just outside the district many folks inside the district work there); or implying with continual reference to "my West Point friends" that he is a West Point grad (which he is not); or implying that the 8th Congressional District is one of the worst plces in the country to live (yet, he loves living there). He will say and do anything (including having a fundraiser at a DC bar frequented by pedophilic organizations (google "Pocket Gays DC" and note their frequent Sunday School meetings at the Local 16 bar). Local 16, of course, is where he had his DC coming out fundraiser shortly after supporting gays serving openly in the military without DoD input. Enough already, Tommy!

He is going to send that "Snake Oil Saleswoman" (Jo Ann Emerson-Gladney) back home to Maryland where she belongs!

Your article claiming that Tommy is deceiving donors is pure BS. JAE has been deceiving AND ignoring her constitents in the 8th district for 14yrs. She doesn't even bother to LIVE in the 8th district. For the first time in that long career of neglect, as the well-being of the average working man and woman plummeted,we have a candidate that is smart enough to send her back to Maryland where she came from. Throughout her 'career', she has consorted with the big lobbyists (her former co-players) and somehow glossed over and rationalized her campaign donations from big corporations and high rollers. So get off it unless you're going to print the truth about JAE's donors and stupid stuff she might have done in her younger years. Perhaps her affair with a married Bill Emerson long ago would be a starter?
