The Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) is looking into whether its former director Pete Ramsel and subordinate Mary Murphy were justified in using MHDC funds to fend off an FBI investigation. The two approved each other’s reimbursements for legal fees – a bizarre arrangement, given that they were both being investigated. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel is requiring that they further explain their expenses.
