If that headline seems familiar, it's because the St. Joseph fee office has been awarded to Democrat hacks James Ryan Williams, James Montee, Phil Snowden and Bill Skaggs. That brings their total winning bids up to four - and our bet is that they'll continue their undefeated streak.
The bid is under Montee's name, but like the previous bids, a bit of document diving reveals James Ryan's involvement.
Jay Nixon continues to extol the virtues of his supposedly competitive system, but can anyone treat his claims seriously, knowing the results? Democrats are winning so many of the most lucrative offices that it is statistically absurd. It's no consolation that the gang led by James Ryan is also irking other Democrats.
For all the faults of the old system, at least it was open and honest about its purpose. Nixon's sole contribution is to add the sin of hypocrisy.
