The Source often finds bits and pieces in other blog pieces that spark our interest or a new story. Yesterday, as we were catching up on some state blogs, we found this little nugget on the KY3 Notebook.
It seems that former(?) Missouri blogger Jeff Mazur has landed a job in Governor Jay Nixon's Office of Administration. Never mind all the stories about mainstream journalists jumping ship to work with the liberal politicians they helped elect, now bloggers are being hired as well.
Mazur, who once blogged under his own name at Fired Up! Missouri, is often rumored to be a writer for several liberal Missouri blogs. His union background gives him perfect cover for such antics. (The Source would also note that Big Muddy Politics has only posted once since the inauguration, and that was on an issue near and dear to union's hearts.)
The Source finds it interesting, however, that Mazur is more known for his blogging, and for his wife (who works for Robin Carnahan), then for his own work product. We have to wonder exactly what qualifications Mazur brings to his job.
In fact, the KY3 post doesn't mention what position Mazur holds. A quick internet search showed no other relevant articles about his hire. It seems Governor Nixon wanted to hide this particular appointment. We can't say we blame him.
At least the guy signed his name to his postings. That's more than we can say for a lot of Missouri bloggers.
