The Kansas City Star's parent company, The McClatchy Company, is about to face de-listing by the New York Stock Exchange. McClatchy's stock (NYSE:MNI) dipped below $1.00 on January 15th. If it stays under $1 for thirty consecutive trading days, McClatchy will have to submit a plan to bring the price back up over $1.00. If they don't they could be de-listed.
The Source will keep a daily watch on The McClatchy Company stock for our Kansas City area readers. Should McClatchy fall, the Kansas City Star could easily fall with it.
